Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Delhi Capital by 1 run to reach the top of the table with five wins out of six games. Delhi Capitals fought back well but just fell short by one run to lose the match and moved down to the third spot in the points table.

DC VS RCB Highlights – 360-degree show: Royal Challengers Bangalore after losing the toss, the openers gave a decent start with 30 runs in four overs. But Delhi Capital took two wickets in two balls sending both the openers back to Pavillion. With 30/2, Glenn Maxwell and Rajat Patidar went on to put on a 30 runs partnership before Maxwell got out caught by Steve Smith trying to clear the long-on boundary. Ad de Villiers joined Rajat and together put on a 54 runs partnership laying a foundation. Rajat played a good inning of 31 off 22 balls. AB started off slow but played a blinder toward the end to score a 42 ball 75 with five maximum and three boundaries.

DC VS RCB Highlights – Good Bowling Performance: Delhi Capitals bowlers bowled good lines and kept RCB in control for the most part of the innings. Ishant Sharma playing his first match bowled a good spell grabbed one wicket and conceding just 26 runs. Avesh Khan continued his good form and bowled well. Kagiso Rabada started off well but conceded runs towards the end.

DC VS RCB Highlights- A slow started: Chasing 171, Delhi Capitals lost early wickets. The Orange cap holder, Shikhar Dhawan go out in the third over trying to pull a ball got caught in the outfield. The very next over DC lost Steve Smith. Then Prithvi Shaw who was looking good got caught behind chasing a wide ball off Harshal Patel. Rishabh played a slow inning of 58 off 48 balls was unable to pace his innings. It was Shimron Hetmyer inning which took Delhi close to the RCB total. He played an excellent innings of 53 off just 25 ball with four maximums and two boundaries. Rishabh and Hetmyer together put on a 78 runs partnership but just fell short of one run to lose the match.

DC VS RCB Highlights – RCB Bowling: RCB bowled well to restrict the Delhi Capitals. Harshal Patel was again the pick-up of the bowler taking two wickets. Mohammed Siraj was a bit expensive but bowled a beautiful final over to restrict the Delhi Capital. His yorkers were on the spot creating difficulties for the Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer in the last over.

CONCLUSION

It was a nail-biter finish going all the way down the wire with RCB winning by one run. Royal Challengers Bangalore with the win climbed to the top of the points table winning five games out of six. Delhi Capitals came close but failed to cross the line. Hetmyer form is a positive for the DC
