Sheer domination by Delhi Capitals beat the struggling Kolkata Knights Riders by 7 wickets. DC’s openers raced to the target as Prithvi Shaw was in the sublime form today started with a bang hitting six consecutive boundaries in the first over.

KKR VS DC Highlights – KKR Struggled with Bat: After put to bat first by Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders lost Nitish Rana early. Subhman Gill and Rahul Tripathi tried to put on a partnership but could only manage 44 runs before Rahul Tripathi got out in the 10th over. Andre Russell stood up to the challenge and scored a blistering 45 off 27 balls helping KKR to post 154.

KKR VS DC Highlights – Tight Lines by DC: Delhi Capitals bowled tight lines and kept Kolkalta’s batsmen silent till the 17th over. Lalit Yadav bowled an excellent spell picking up two wickets in one over and giving away just 13 runs in his three overs. Axar Patel picks up two wickets for 32 runs in four overs. Avesh Khan and Marcus Stoinis grabbed one wicket each.

KKR VS DC Highlights- An Easy Task for DC Openers: Chasing a mediocre total, Delhi Capitals openers gave a tremendous start especially Prithvi Shaw hitting six boundaries in the first over scoring. Prithvi continued the onslaught and Shikhar Dhawan played a supporting role scoring a run-a-ball 46 with one six and four boundaries. Prithvi accumulated 75% of his total score from boundaries scoring a handsome 82 off just 41 balls at a strike of 200 hitting 11 boundaries and three maximums.

KKR VS DC Highlights – KKR Poor Bowling: KKR bowling never looked promising in front of Prithvi’s onslaught. They failed to pick wickets till the 13th over. Pat Cummins picked three wickets toward the end but it was too late for KKR to come back in the match.

CONCLUSION

Kolkata Knight Riders again failed to perform again in both batting and bowling. A lot to think for the team before the next match and have to sort out their issue else it will be too late for them. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals are in great form and looked dominating in all the matches they have played till now. They have placed themselves in the second spot after winning five games out of seven.
